The individuals behind the company are the key to the success that a company enjoys and T.R. Hinan is no exception. Terry Hinan incorporated the company in 1983. Prior to starting the company, Terry completed a construction-engineering program at Niagara College and worked for eight years as an estimator and project manager for Stewart and Hinan Contractors. Since its incorporation, the company has displayed a steady growth and collected a core of dedicated people who take pride in the company’s reputation. Everyone who works at T.R. Hinan was selected for their skills and expertise as well as their dependability and dedication to seeing every project completed successfully.

Our Commitment to Safety
Safety is a top priority for everyone at T.R. Hinan Contractors. A total commitment to health and safety forms an integral part of daily life on the job site. The company has a comprehensive health and safety policy in effect and that policy (and related procedures) is updated on an ongoing basis. Employees at all levels of the company are provided with health and safety training, informed of health and safety policies and procedures and express a dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
Clients can rest assured that every reasonable precaution is taken to provide a safe and healthy work enviornment. A safe work enviornment protects clients against delays due to accidents and ensures that every detail of the project has been meticulously planned and scheduled- thus improving efficiency as well as productivity.
As part of their commitment to safety, T.R. Hinan Contractors has appointed a Health and Safety Officer who works in conjunction with management, job site superindentents, the Health & Safety Representative elected on every job site, T.R Hinan’s staff and the subtrades.
This officer is responsible for monthly safety inspections, organizing first aid and WHMIS training, investigating accidents, and ensuring T.R. Hinan Contractors remains on the leading edge of a safe workplace enviornment.
T.R. Hinan’s commitment to safety starts with their workers and the training they receive from the Construction Safety Association of Ontario (CSAO). The CSAO is commited to delivering health and safety training to both labour and management, ensuring the industry is kept well informed. In addition, they conduct their own research on the impact of health and safety on construction procedures, equipment and materials and assist the construction industry in developing and implementing safety and health rules.
